SMS Program Information

This page describes the Play Post-Up text messaging program and how players give consent. The opt-in itself lives inside a signed-in player profile, so the exact experience and wording are reproduced here for review.

About Play Post-Up

Play Post-Up organizes skill-based, two-player pool tournament matches that are played on the Post-Up livestream. Players specify the tournament entry-fee range they are comfortable participating in, along with their FargoRate range, games and weekly availability, and an administrator approves and schedules matches.

Text messages in this program are transactional account and scheduling notifications only. They are not contracts or binding agreements. Tournament invitations and acceptances must be completed through the authenticated PlayPostUp.com website.

How players opt in

  1. A player creates an account at PlayPostUp.com.
  2. SMS opt-in happens voluntarily from the player's own profile — it is never part of signup, account creation, or accepting the site's general terms.
  3. The player enters their mobile phone number.
  4. The SMS opt-in checkbox is unchecked by default.
  5. The player actively checks the box themselves to consent, then saves.
  6. SMS is not required to use the website. Players who never opt in can use accounts, profiles, matchmaking, match invitations and scheduling normally.

You may leave this box unchecked.

SMS notifications are completely optional. You can create an account, build a profile, find opponents through matchmaking, send and accept match invitations, and schedule matches without ever opting in to text messages. Nothing on Play Post-Up requires SMS consent.

No text messages are sent yet. A player can change this preference at any time from their profile, and the site works normally without opting in.

Text messages are informational only

Play Post-Up SMS/text messages are provided for informational and notification purposes only. A text message, text response, delivery receipt, or SMS notification does not create, modify, accept, or confirm a tournament entry, match agreement, schedule, financial obligation, or other binding agreement.

Official match invitations, acceptances, tournament entries, scheduling decisions, and other account actions must be completed or confirmed through the authenticated PlayPostUp.com website. The information shown in your Play Post-Up account is the controlling record.

Replying to an automated Play Post-Up text message does not constitute acceptance of a match invitation or tournament entry. Only standard messaging commands such as STOP or HELP affect your SMS messaging status. Replies such as “YES,” “OK,” or “I ACCEPT” are not treated as acceptance of a match invitation or tournament entry.

Play Post-Up text messages never include entry fees, dollar amounts, payment details, or any other financial information. Match and entry details are available only after signing in at PlayPostUp.com.
